REARRANGE
Rearrange a room or section of the house every season. It moves the energy around and reinvigorates everyone in the home, giving your space a fresh look and feel.
BRING NATURE INSIDE WITH PLANTS AND FLOWERS
Adding some fresh herb plants to the kitchen, such as basil, mint, or cilantro, is a perfect and functional way to incorporate nature into your home. Or how about some hanging English Ivy or Trailing Jade in the living room? Try grouping two or three plants and succulents in various sizes on a table. Give your space a fresh, happy vibe with greenery throughout your space. And don’t forget to splurge on fresh flowers from the farmers market once in a while to add some fresh color, you deserve it!
LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE
Rooms feel bigger, more grown-up, and have better ambiance if you use at least three light sources in a room. Consider using string led lights in the yard or outdoor space to add even more ambiance and set the mood for outdoor entertaining.
CREATE A GALLERY WALL
Start collecting art and showcasing it in your home on a gallery wall. Mix it up with local art and art and photography from your travels. The wall becomes a vessel for the story of your family’s life you can continue to build on.
INCORPORATE SCENTS YOU LOVE
Burn candles or essential oils with a diffuser in smells that you love throughout the house. Giving your bedroom some love with linen spray on your sheets adds a nice touch to bedtime.
CREATE A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR GOOD REST
Spend some time focusing on your bedroom. Create a space that is inviting, fresh, and clutter-free. Clean off the nightstand, clean out the closet and under the bed, invest in new sheets. Make your bedroom your sanctuary. Good rest is the foundational key to feeling good in our lives.
SLOW DOWN
Make a point to slow down and be at home. Drinking your coffee while sitting on the couch instead of multitasking. Take the time to take a bath instead of checking your email or social media. Spend time with the family when everyone is home instead of just putting on a movie. Play games, cook, create, read, talk. When you love your home, you want to spend time there, and when you spend time there, you feel grounded. When we feel grounded, we are open to bigger possibilities, more authentic connections. LOVE.
